Gas prices across York County are running slightly higher than several major markets across South Carolina this week, with Fort Mill leading the way locally.
Among York County communities, Fort Mill posted the highest average at $3.89 per gallon, followed by York at $3.78. Clover $3.68, Lake Wylie 0$3.69, and Rock Hill $3.67 all came in within a tight range in the mid $3.60s.
Across the state, prices were generally lower, with Myrtle Beach at $3.51 and Greenville at $3.56 among the least expensive markets. Charleston $3.59 and Columbia $3.66 also trailed most York County averages, while Hilton Head matched Lake Wylie at $3.69.
