Persis Indian Grill received the county's lowest score of the year after inspectors documented numerous priority and core violations involving food temperatures, handwashing practices, food storage, equipment maintenance, and sanitation.

Inspectors observed an employee handling raw food and then ready-to-eat food without washing hands. The kitchen hand sink reached only 75 degrees, well below the required 100-degree minimum, and inspectors found no soap available at one handwashing station. Raw eggs were stored above ready-to-eat foods, while chicken, beef, diced tomatoes, salsa, and other foods were being cold held well above the required 41 degrees.

Additional violations included food stored in t-shirt bags in coolers and freezers, single-service items stored on the floor, unlabeled chemical spray bottles, dirty ice machines and drink dispensers, leaking hand sinks, damaged cutting boards, ice buildup around the walk-in freezer door, and debris accumulation throughout portions of the facility. Several violations were cited as consecutive violations that could be referred for enforcement action if not corrected.

A follow-up inspection is required within 10 days.
